Crawler Tractor Scrapbook is a collection of notes, magazine clippings and photographs the author has collected over many years and published in a four-volume collection. Manufacturers have been assembled into chapters for convenience and an attempt has been made to give a short history of each company and a list of models manufactured, with dates. Some technical information has been given in the photograph captions. The book is a serious attempt to bring together as much information as possible concerning crawler tractors. It is hoped that the book will be of assistance to researchers and collectors of vintage crawlers for whom it has been written primarily. It has been designed as a technical work rather than a 'coffee table' book. Part Four covers more British crawlers, Chinese, Russian, Eastern European and more Japanese crawlers, Fiat Allis and Hitachi, Bullblades, and advice on buying a used tracklayer.
