Hugh Johnson was corresponding recently with one of our customers saying W.J. Bean’s “Trees and Shrubs Hardy in the
British Isles” is currently being updated and revised. First published as a 2 volume set in 1914, it had expanded to 4 volumes by 1970. A supplement was
published in 1988, and two years ago “New Trees” came out. Hugh Johnson said the new edition was being referred to by those working on it as “The
Broad Bean” Peter has a full 5 volume set of the 8th edition (1973) of Trees and Shrubs Hardy in the British Isles" in stock. $900.00. |
